Class: Vietnamese Street Food with Saigon 39
Vietnamese Street Food
June 14, 2022
6:00 - 8:00 pm
In-Person Partial Hands-On Style Class
Vietnamese Street Food is served at various small stalls along busy roads and alleys in Vietnam. It is traditionally something the business owner can prepare quickly and the food is often a creative mix of traditional recipes with a twist.
Our goal is to teach families how to prepare these recipes, adapt them for practical use in their own homes, and to not be afraid to be a little creative and make the recipes fit their family’s taste. The best part part is that there is no oven required … which makes Vietnamese Street Food recipes the perfect choice for summer time entertaining or family meals.
Please come prepared to roll up your sleeves as we help you conquer your fear of working with rice paper!! We will teach you how to make fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls and how you can bring new life to leftovers by turning them into delicious rolls to served with Peanut Sauce!
We will demonstrate the preparation of Banh Xeo which is also known as Sizzling Vietnamese Crepes that will be served with a Coconut Nuoc Mam Dressing (Anchovy Vinaigrette) featuring a Coconut White Balsamic from Olive Tree.
Our next recipe has been trending online lately and was even featured in an animated short film…. Bao! We will show you how to make fluffy, light delicious Bao “Taco” Buns that can be filled with an endless choice of fillings, savory or sweet.
We will finish the class with a Coconut Sticky Rice with Mango that can be made in an electric pressure cooker
