Cast Iron Cooking with The Electrified Cooks
Cast Iron Cooking
February 27, 2020
6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Kathy and Roxanne are bringing the Sizzling Cast Iron. The best sizzle in the kitchen comes from that simple black Cast Iron skillet, but do you know how to use it? It is delicious to cook a steak in cast iron like a chef does, but what are the tricks to using (and then washing) that skillet? Join us in a stress-free zone as we answer all your questions on how to use and care for that wonderful, but mysterious black skillet. We will definitely have Peppercorn Filet Mignon sizzling in the skillet and we will serve that steak with the best Scalloped Potatoes. Cast iron doesn’t stop there and neither will we. We will begin the class showcasing how great cast iron is for vegetables and serve Charred Grape Tomato Bruschetta, then follow it with Roasted Butternut Squash Salad. And for dessert, of course there will be a sweet treat. Come hungry and bring all of your cast iron questions.
