March Cooking Class, 2013 March 01 2013

Join us on Thursday, March 7th for a 5-course menu featuring our oils and balsamic vinegars. Class begins at 6:30 p.m.  Very limited seating.  $25.00 is payable at the event. Must call to reserve with a credit card (913.338.2700).  If we do not receive a credit card number, we will not reserve a space. Our events sell out and there is always a waiting list.  Recipes will be provided.
Our March class is being taught by Denise Lampione. Denise came in the store as a customer and now is an employee one day a month. She knows her oils and balsamics and  is creative beyond words.
Appetizers – Muhummara dip with pita wedges. Muhummara is a Lebanese spread made with toasted walnuts, Pomegranate Balsamic and roasted red peppers.
Venetian Cicchetti – Warm olive oil roasted grape tomatoes and garlic cloves served on crostini.
Tuscan  Salad – Like Houlihan’s but better!  Baby greens, creamy white beans and chopped tomatoes surrounded by a pool of Tuscan Blend olive oil and Traditional Balsamic.
Blueberry Dijon Roasted Chicken – Chicken marinated in Blueberry Balsamic and Dijon mustard served with a Dijon blueberry reduction and warm blueberries.
Orgasmic Warm Pear Crumble – Pears and cranberries baked with a crispy oatmeal crumble topping.  The amazing thing ... no sugar and no flour are used in the recipe!
